On Saturday, Dec. 10, hundreds of speedo-wearing runners descended down Lark Street from Madison Avenue to Spring Street and back for the 17th annual Santa Speedo Sprint. The sprint, an annual fundraiser for The Albany Society for the Advancement of Philanthropy (ASAP), was held concurrently with the Lark Street Business Improvement District (BID)’s Chili Chowder Stroll – now in its fifth year.
The proceeds from the sprint, which last year totaled $21,000, will benefit the Albany Damien Center and the HIV/AIDS programs at Albany Medical Center.
