The Mix for the Week of June 15, 2020: UHPP’s Chelly Hegan, NYPIRG’s Liz Moran

Chelly Hegan (start listening at 1:54) has served as President/CEO of Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood since 2012 and began her tenure at Planned Parenthood in 2006 when she served as Vice President for Human Resources and then as Senior Vice President for Operations. Hegan brings a unique and deep background to the organization. Her educational background combines studies in sociology and Fine Arts and includes a B.A. from Hartwick College, and an M.A. and M.F.A. from the University at Albany.

Prior to joining the team at UHPP, Hegan worked at the Albany/Schenectady League of Arts, and for The Kaleel Jamison Consulting Group, Inc. She has served as a Board member for many community agencies including Troy Public Library, Sponsor a Scholar, Columbia County Health Care Consortium, the Pride Center of the Capital Region and the Center for Women in Government and Civil Society.

Liz Moran (start listening at 22:08) is the environmental policy director for the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG). Previously, Moran was the water and natural resources director for Environmental Advocate of New York.
